Every 30-Days, walk-thru your home and visually check all carbon monoxide alarms, smoke alarms and fire extinguishers for issues and concerns. Push the test buttons as well to ensure they are functioning.
30-Day Check: Push the button to check the battery and operation.
Semi-Annually: Check your alarms for dust, debris or insects which could inhibit the proper operation of the alarms.
Annually: Have your local service company do a carbon monoxide test on your home using an approved meter.
7-Years: Replace your carbon monoxide alarms or per manufacturer recommendations.

10-Years: Replace your smoke alarms or per manufacturer recommendations.

30-Day Check: Make sure you are familiar with your fire extinguisher locations, and that they are visible. Check the gauge to make sure the extinguisher is fully charged. Ensure the pin is in and secure.
Annually: Have your fire extinguishers checked, certified and tagged.
10-Years: Replace your fire extinguishers or per manufacturer recommendations.
30-Day Check: Ensure the radon gas fan motor is on and working properly.
Annually: Have your radon system properly evaluated by a professional to ensure proper operations for keeping your home safe.

30-Day Check: Walk thru the entire home, including basements, crawlspaces and mechanical rooms. If any gas type smells are present, or there is an immediate concern, call 911.
Semi-Annually: Schedule a home gas leak check with your local service company using appropriate meters.
